Could I use a normal SD card as an alternative to a Supercard or R4

Could I use a normal SD card as an alternative to a Supercard or R4? Like one that I usually use for a digital camera? Please only post if your positive in your answer. I don't want to break it either.. Is it possible to use my digital cameras SD card as an alternative to a Supercard or R4 for the DS? Just wondering because I've been itching to try some of the homebrew stuff. Please answer.

You can use SD card with supercard or r4. Supercard and r4 have to use with MicroSD/TF Card(the small card),.
